యఙ్ఞోపవీతం మనం ప్రస్తుతం అశ్వలాయన సూత్రాన్ని అనుసరించి ధరిస్తున్నాము. యఙ్ఞోపవీతానికి తొమ్మిది తంత్రులుంటాయన్న సంగతి మీకు తెలిసినదే. ఒక్కొక్క దానికి ఒక్కో అధిస్ఠాన దేవత అని చెప్పబడినది. 1. ప్రణవము 2. అగ్ని 3. భగుడు 4. సోముడు 5. పితృదేవతలు 6. ప్రజాపతి 7. అష్టవసువులు 8. ధర్మదేవత 9. విశ్వేదేవతలు ఈ విధంగా యఙ్ఞోపవీత ధారణం చేయటం వలన ఈ శరీరం సర్వదేవతానిలయమయి వైదిక యఙ్ఞ్య యాగాద్యనుష్ఠానానికి యోగ్యమవుతుంది.

యజ్ఞోపవీతమునందలి నవ తంతువులూ ఏయే దేవతాస్వరూపములో చక్కగా వివరించారు. తప్పక యిటువంటివి చక్కగా వివరిస్తూ ఉండండి. చదివేవారెందరని ఆలోచించకండి. ఒక్కరైనా చాలు భావిరరాలవారికందించడం కోసం. తప్పక అవసరం.
